Giving Everyday Dog Owners a Voice Where It Matters Most

From Westminster to the media, we fight for evidence-based policy and the rights of responsible dog owners across the UK.

How We Work

Facts First, Always

Unlike lobby groups or charities with predetermined agendas, ARDO starts with the evidence. We conduct large-scale surveys, gather real-world data from dog owners, and present findings directly to decision-makers — from MPs and government ministers to media organisations and legal bodies.

When the UK government considered a blanket ban on electronic training collars, we didn't just oppose it — we presented data from over 2,500 real dog owners showing the tools were being used responsibly and effectively. The result? The government stepped back.

That's how we work: gather evidence, engage politically, hold our ground, and let the data do the talking. No donations to chase, no ideology to push — just dog owners standing up for dog owners.

Evidence Over Ideology

Every position we take is grounded in peer-reviewed research, real-world data from our surveys, and decades of professional canine experience. We let the evidence speak.

Political Engagement

We engage directly with MPs, government ministers, and legislative bodies across the UK and internationally — ensuring dog owners have a seat at the table.

Community Voice

We amplify the voices of thousands of responsible dog owners who are too often excluded from conversations about their own dogs and their own rights.
